Royston and Carlton Community Partnership is committed to promoting better sporting facilities within the community to increase the opportunity for recreation, health and the attainment of higher individual achievement. The Sports sub-group was established in January 1997 and its aim is to:

"...promote the opportunities for recreation to improve health, team spirit and higher individual achievement."

The Partnership currently owns Monckton Playing Fields and manages Carlton Community Centre. The Partnership is involved in the improvements to Royston Park and has plans to develop a sport and recreation strategy for the whole of Royston and Carlton.
